Summer Kickoff

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! It’s the unofficial start of summer. I’m kicking off a few weeks of travel, some personal and some business. It’s stressful preparing to live out of a suitcase, but the memories those adventures create are precious.

For a chance to win a $10 Amazon gift card, tell me what you’re most looking forward to during the long, lazy days of summer.

  1. Have fun with your travels. Be safe. Cicadas are south of us but starting to hear them a bit, not the deafening decibels that other are experiencing. Not sure how long that will last though. Share pictures of your travels. I enjoy seeing where people get to travel to. Best wishes for a fantastic trip (s). Shanda

  2. I’m looking forward to getting my life together after narcissistic abuse. I plan on traveling and getting to the beach.

  3. I love to attend picnics on holidays. I live in Arizona and we usually go early to avoid the heat. Of course, the hit of the meal is ice cold watermelon!

  4. We are sailing to Alaska. We have been once but always wanted to go back. We are making it happen for our 50th wedding anniversary and my 69th birthday. So, I am looking forward to this trip most of all this summer.

  5. I’m looking forward to all of the fresh local fruit and veggies that are produced in the summer.

  6. Doing my flower beds. Spending time with my husband of 48 years.

And getting ready for our 11 day Alaska trip.

4 days on land, 7 day cruise. We leave August 31st

  7. I am looking forward to going to my sister’s house on the lake and spending time with her.

  8. For the summer, I’m looking forward to special event tv. I’ll be watching things like the Tony Awards and the final appearance of host Pat Sajak on the game show, “Wheel of Fortune”!

  9. Hanging out in the pool with my husband. With the kids and grandkids, too. But those lazy late afternoons with the hubby are my favorite. <3

  10. I live in Central CA where it can reach 110 degrees over our summer and early fall, so I’m happy to be able to house sit in Salinas, Pacific Grove, and Santa Cruz this summer, where the temps rarely get out of the 70s! Even the 80s are better than 100+! And I get to play with animals all that time. LOL

    Thanks so much.

  11. I’m mostly looking forward to finding a house to buy in Oregon and move there from So Cal. Enjoy your summer.

  12. Safe travels!
I am most looking forward to long walks on these summer evenings, especially to the local dairy for my favorite ice cream!

  13. Have fun.
This looks so relaxing. I am looking to relax with lots of reading and cuddle time with my fur babies. Oh can’t forget vacationing in a few weeks.

  14. A good book, a large glass of iced tea, some finger foods, and the air conditioner blowing through my hair.

  15. My oldest daughter’s high school graduation! Also staying cool in the ac! Happy Memorial Day!

  16. I’m not looking forward to anything specific other than getting more variety in fresh fruits.

    1. Hi Jennifer,
I LOVE the fresh fruits and vegetables of summer. We don’t normally start having them come in until July here in the mountains, but I’m looking forward to them. Have a wonderful summer and thanks for reading my newsletter.

    1. Hi Angela,
It’s hot here as well. We came home to it being near ninety degrees. I know not has hot as many places, but for the mountains that’s hot. And we don’t have air conditioning. Stay cool this summer. Thanks for reading my newsletter.

  17. We are looking forward to as many long weekends at the beach @ San Diego that we can fit in our schedule !!!
