Cody: Contemporary Western Romance (The Burnett Brides Book 13)
About
She swore she’d never trust a Burnett. He swore he’d never fall in love.
Alexis Winslow has spent her life fighting to hold onto her family’s struggling ranch. When she stops to help a stranded driver, she never expects Cody Burnett—a wealthy playboy from the ranching dynasty just down the road. The ones Grandpa said avoid.
Cody lives fast, but Alexis is different—strong, stubborn, and immune to his charm. When he offers to help train her grandfather’s old racehorse, she reluctantly agrees. Sparks fly, but just as she starts to trust him, betrayal strikes. Her mother sells her grandmother’s pearls, her home is ripped away, and the Burnetts’ past threatens to destroy everything.
Now, Cody will do whatever it takes to prove his love—even if it means giving up everything. But can Alexis let go of her pride before she loses the one man who would fight for her?
Praise for this book
I loved this book. A well written storyline that has all the feels from a rich billionaire cowboy who has sworn to never marry, to a stubborn, independent young woman who doesn’t take charity and has devoted her life to her failing Grammy who rescued her from her drug addicted mother. There’s humor, from the overprotective chicken, to the meddling ghost that is a matchmaker for her great, great, great, great grandchildren and Cody is her next target. The characters were awesome and you can’t help falling in love with them. Fantastic read.
